The shopper role for this opportunity will help to fill the client food sheet orders just as the client has selected the food they want.  The shopper will reference the food sheet filled out by the client and pull the clients selected items, filling their order within a timely manner. 

As a volunteer at the front desk you will need to be able to take and make calls to clients, know how to schedule and cancel client appointments, be knowledgeable in resources we have to assist clients. In addition, front desk volunteer should be able to assist client with completing a food sheet, help client fill out a new client application or make changes to current application, be able to provide client with general information about Least of These (i.e. hours of operation, clients we serve, & partner resources). 

As a parking lot volunteer you will work with clients to help maintain a safe and organized atmosphere. Parking lot volunteers will help volunteers get to the parking location they need to be in, in addition to having conversations with clients to provide support and resources in anyway within the available resources of Least of These. Parking lot will need to collect the following months food sheets from clients, in addition to any other paperwork requested by data entry or client services coordinator. 

Inside Volunteer will listen for (outside check in person to radio the time; last name; first of client, PA, NPA, or Denied & parking space #). Inside Volunteer will acknowledge they heard all information provided from Outside check-in. Mark current food sheet accordingly.  Place food sheet in basket for Shoppers, keeping them in order – First In, First Out.

Exit headset volunteer will be at the same table as the "Inside Check-in Volunteer."  Exit headset volunteer will also listen for client call in, make highlight or check mark near clients name as they are checked in, as well as the parking spot location.  In addition, they will listen for any clients that have a senior box designated to them and keep track of their arrival and parking space location to help outside senior box volunteer stay current on clients arrival that are allocated a senior box. As shoppers complete client orders and are pushing them towards exit, the exit headset volunteer will confirm the client order going out, check off on the list that client had been served, collect the food sheet and put in basket for data entry to collect. 

Cart pusher volunteer will receive the clients grocery orders as they are filled and pushed out in carts by shoppers. Cart pusher will ensure that client order gets to the correct client in the assigned parking space.  If client has requested help, cart pusher must be able to assist client with loading their groceries if requested. 

This volunteer is responsible for retrieving carts from cart return as clients return them after unloading their groceries.  Cart reset volunteer will clean the cart once brought back inside/ including white board on front of cart, fill with appropriate materials needed for shoppers to shop for the next client and put the cart back in line to be used by shoppers pulling orders. 

A produce area volunteer will help with sorting and stocking produce and dairy items that will be pulled from dairy and produce cooler to be used during distribution.  These volunteers will stock the dairy reach-in coolers first thing before distribution. They will also help ensure that bread table, produce carts/table, mixed blessing boxes are continuously stocked during distribution for shoppers to pull from as they fill client orders.  In addition, these volunteers will assist in keeping this main distribution area clean, swept break down boxes, ensure trash is disposed of to the dumpster at the end of every distribution. 

As a reach-in freezer volunteer you will fulfill clients requested frozen item order as they have selected on their food sheet.  Each shopper should appropriately label things a client does or does not want from our meat and frozen items.  You will put the selected items into bags and place into shoppers cart and move onto the next shoppers cart.  Reach-in freezer volunteers should also be knowledgeable of what is stocked in their reach-ins, what the next item to be stocked in their reach-in is and assist main walk-in freezer volunteer with keeping reach-ins stocked as they pull from walk in freezers to restock for distribution. 

Distribution is a constant flow of stocking, sorting, discarding items. As the designated cardboard and trash clean up volunteer, you will be responsible for continuously breaking down cardboard, and emptying trash bins & cardboard to the appropriate outside dumpsters during distribution time.  This will help maintain a clean and safe working atmosphere for volunteers and distribution happens. 

Working to update client applications, enter & change appointments, help client services coordinator to keep track of client appointments and changes. Keep up with senior box requirements. 

Pull frozen items from walk-in freezer to stock reach-in freezers. Keep walk-in organized, keep reach-ins stocked throughout distribution 

This team will work to ensure that clients who are eligible to receive a Senior Box receive theirs and we gather a signature to show the receipt of the box as required by the CSFP Program.

July 1, 2024 we will begin using an info gathering process with our clients during distribution. This will help keep client info files up-to-date and it will allow us to track some of the "life success" measures of those we serve. 

A volunteer who works at the interview data desk in the lobby. This volunteer collects the data that interviewers collect in order to flow into the data room. 

A volunteer to oversee the self serve detergent station.

As a volunteer stocker you will be required to keep the shelving stocked during distribution as shoppers are pulling from distribution shelves to fill client orders. Stockers must be trained in the inventory management system, and be knowledgeable in what pallets and locations in the warehouse are designated for stocking by Operations Coordinator Michelle Lindsey. As a stocker you must be able to lift items 25lbs or more onto distribution shelving, as well as climb step ladders, and possibly be willing to learn how to operate equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, forklifts, walkie stacker). 

Drive-up check-in volunteer (outside shed) will greet the client, ask client's name and communicate information with "Thrive Check-in volunteer inside of shed. In addition this volunteer will ask for any information that may have changed on a client application or for documentation such as (proof of residency, ID). This volunteer will give the client their parking space number, newsletter/ next months food sheet to complete, as well as return their appointment card with their scheduled appointment date for the next month.

Drive-up check-in volunteer (inside shed) will call in on radio to communicate which client is checking-in, provide inside check desk with client information, status, and parking space number.  In addition the inside shed volunteer will use thrive software to schedule the clients following month appointment.

Stock, watch over, and and help advocate for clients to take from self-select area. Assist in all things

Join us to pack groceries to be distributed during our mobile pantries. 

As a donation receiving volunteer you will be responsible for greeting community members, take their donations, weigh on scale, make sure donation is proper logged on donation log under the correct category (give donation receipt if requested). After receiving donation volunteer will date check donated items and either stock in appropriate designated location in warehouse or if expired discard appropriately and log the discarded items. During this time donation receiving volunteers may also be asked to help with stocking, sorting food donations, cleaning, cutting "Best Choice," labels from canned goods. 

Front desk volunteers on Tuesday's and Thursday's will be expected to take clients calls. Update applications, assist clients over the phone with filling out food sheets, document and cancellation or appointment requests from clients.  Complete any tasks given by Client Service Coordinator Michele Pierce. Report directly to Michele Pierce in regards to client services issues. 

Volunteer will pick up food before 7am or after 9am from Starbuck located at 1951 West Marler Lane Ozark, MO 65721

Volunteers will arrive at Chadwick Community center 122 Oriole Dr, Chadwick, MO 65629 at 8:30am. Volunteers can meet at LOT at 8am or meet in Chadwick by 8:30am. Volunteers will serve clients through a drive thru distribution once they have been checked in by Client Services Coordinator, volunteers will load vehicles with grocery orders packed at LOT.  

Load and distribute one time to Spokane, MO

Help distribute menu products to families in Clever at 111 N Public Ave, Clever, MO 65631. Meet at 5:30 PM to help setup and start distributing soon after.

Station at the Harter House in Nixa (815 Kenneth St) to collect donations from customers as they visit the store.

Station at Apple Market in Ozark (604 E. South St.) to collect donations from customers as they visit the market. 

Volunteers will help count pallets and distribution shelves of product as directed by the operations manager for inventory tracking.

Volunteers will help cut best choice labels off product being used for Christmas Meal Packing Event. Unwrap and set-up product that will be used for holiday meal packing event. 

Welcome and help direct traffic of community members packing, man stations to ensure packers get one of each item in bag. Help with clean up.

Host the Least of These table/booth at the Ozark Halloween on the square event. Distribute candy and do PR for LoT.

This is the monthly restocking of shelves before distribution each month.

After stocking and packing for Chadwick & Clever, volunteers will help unwrap product and set up stations for the Christmas Packing Event on December 1st.

Volunteers will help greet, direct, and help community members as they travel through the warehouse to each station packing Christmas meal bags.
